No matter your political party or which candidate you are voting for, I would encourage each of you to say a prayer for or send a peaceful thought to each of the candidates who have had the courage to stand up and run for the most controversial position on this planet.
If you feel anger at a party or a candidate, I would ask you what are you grieving? Anger is a stage of grieving. Don’t displace your anger at someone or a group of someones. Since anger seems to be so pervasive in our culture right now, it would suggest to me that we are grieving, even if unconsciously, something that has already been lost and can never be brought back. Placing blame or hope on one man, a couple of men or a whole party will not fix the problems in this country. We are all in this together and are all responsible for moving forward with vision and creativity, not reaching back for what is already past.
